This diptych presents two revered Buddhist texts. The Mangala Sutta, a discourse by Gautama Buddha, speaks of blessings and the pursuit of wholesome qualities, from everyday virtues to ultimate spiritual peace. Alongside it, the Heart Sutra, a key Mahayana text, reminds us of the profound insight: “Form is emptiness, emptiness is form.”
